Today was a travel day but we did stop and see some places.  We are now in Candler, NC, just outside of Asheville and will be staying three nights.  Our first stop today was in High Point to see a dresser.

 

I don't think it will fit in our new place!

 

Next stop was in Winston Salem to see the Clam Shell Station and the Old Salem Coffee Pot. We were able to find the Clam Shell but because of detours we finally gave up on the Coffee Pot.  Maybe if there is a next time.

 

We had one more stop and that was at Fort Dobbs in Statesville.  It was a reproduction of a fort from the French and Indian War.  They had a hard time getting trees big enough and it took much longer to make than the original which only took a year.

Our RV spot is good, but we are right next to Route 40 and outside you can hear the traffic.  They will give you ear plugs if you want, but I don't think we will have any problems.
